                             HINTS FOR OVERLORD

Commonly Asked Questions:

Q: My people are starving.

A: You have several choices here; You can abandon the planet. Be sure and
change the tax rate to 100 percent if you choose this option, so that you
can get as much money as possible before all the people die from
    starvation.

You may also preserve the population on the planet by moving food from
another planet or buying another horticulture unit and sending it to the
    planet.

You can also move some of your people into ships to preserve some
population. When a crew is assigned to a ship, they are put in cryogenic
storage. You can also choose to draft your people into an army where you
    can preserve population.

Your last option is to move the population using cargo cruisers or battle
    cruisers.

Q: What should I do with my atmosphere processor when I'm done formatting
    planets?

A: You can recycle your processor by scrapping it while it's in a docking
bay. Then use the government screen to send the money back to your base.

Q: I haven't got enough minerals or energy to make a purchase.

A: You can do a couple of things: wait for your planet to make energy or
mineral. You can also bring these items using cargo carriers form a
planet that has an abundance. Or, you may purchase a mining station,
or solar satellites to generate resources for the planets.

Q: How come I can't quit to DOS?

A: When Overlord was released, there was a serious bug with the music driver
that caused the system clock to speed up considerably. Because of the
time constraints, we had to decide whether to ship the product with the
problem, or force players to reboot their system, causing their system
clock to also reset from the battery. Because of problems that can arise
from having the improper system date, Virgin Games chose to ship the
product with a reboot to quit option.
